FMGE/NEXT
FMGE/NEXT was announced by the NMC, especially for MBBS graduates from abroad. It is mandatory to qualify this test for international students to practice medicine in India. Medical students can continue practice or higher education in India after clearing this centralized common exam. This test is organized to:
- Access license to initiate practice in India.
- Candidates can go for post-graduate medical courses such as MD, MS, etc.
- Students have to go through the NEXT Exam, not the FMGE Exam or NEET PG exam
The National Exit Test (NEXT Exam) is the final exam needs to be cleared by Indian candidates and foreign medical students to get admission to Md and MS programs.
The NBA has placed NEXT Exam for medical graduate students rather than the FMGE exam & NEET PG Exam.

Eligibility Criteria For FMGE/NEXT
If students meet the following eligibility criteria, only then they are eligible to sit in the exam center and conduct the test. These eligibility criteria are for both foreign medical students and Indian medical students.
One
The first and foremost requirement is the MBBS course should have been completed
Three
Indian medical students have to take on the internship after qualifying for the NEXT-1 exam.
Two
Students have to get a minimum of 50% scores in the MBBS course
Four
Students have to clear NEXT-1 to take the NEXT-2 exam.

Application Process For FMGE/NEXT Exam
Actually, the Application Process for the NEXT Exam is still in planning because the NBA replaced the FMGE Exam with the NEXT Exam. However, the application process for the FMGE Exam is much similar to the presented NEXT Exam. So, we have mentioned FMGE Exam Application Process. Again, it is compulsory for both Indian and foreign medical students. So pay attention keenly to the application process.d

Visit the official website of nbe.edu.in.

Click on “FMGE” and then on “New Registration”.

Following the complete registration, you will get the User ID and password through the registered email

Log in and click on “Go to the application form.”

Fill in all the detail in the FMGE application form such as personal information, and academic qualifications, and select the test center.

Now, submit the application fee.
Save the FMGE application form’s copy.

Exam Pattern Of FMGE/NEXT Exam
The NEXT Exam Pattern for the exam is yet to be planned. NBE would announce the prepared pattern. Let you know, that the exam will be organized in two phases NEXT-1 and NEXT-2. In NEXT-1, there will be MCQ-based questions whereas oral and practical tests will be conducted in NEXT-2. NMC, NBE, or NTA would declare officially the NEXT pattern at the earliest.
NEXT-1
- This test is cogent for the next 2-3 years.
- It would be highly valuable for PG Admission
- Re-appear is also possible for the exam
- It would be organized for final-year candidates.
- It incorporates MCQ and is in online mode.
NEXT-2
- After passing out the NEXT-1, the NEXT-2 phase has to be crossed.
- Qualifying this stage means you would receive the license to practice in India or
- This exam is practical-based.
